Begin your wine road at the centuries old architectural delight that is Belvoir Winery & Inn, once you've taken in the views head on down to Mallinson Vineyard located in Sugar Creek (if you want to head off the beaten path, just down the road they have an outdoor 9/11 Memorial with a piece of steel from the fallen tower!), keep on your Southern route to Independence where your next destination awaits, Top Hat Winery, your final winery of the day will be KC Wineworks in the Crossroads district of Kansas City!
Belvoir Winery & Inn is located on 170 acres known to locals as the former Odd Fellows Home in Liberty. With historic century old buildings, cemetery, inn and vineyard, it is easy to please the entire crowd! Take time to wine taste and grab a glass to walk around the building and view the historic features and artifacts this beautiful location has to offer!
Mallinson Vineyard sits along the historic Lewis & Clark, Santa Fe, California, & Orgeon Trails. Located in Sugar Creek, just a short 20 minute drive from downtown Kansas City, and your previous wine road stop, Belvoir Winery. Once a one room school house, this building has transformed into the tasting room with an event space in the basement. Their are wonderful areas inside and outside to enjoy your bottle.
In the heart of Independence Square lies the family-owned Top Hat Winery. The tasting room is very quaint and welcoming. Featuring over 25 different wines, they are determined to find the right one for you!
KC Wineworks tasting room is located in the Crossroads District of Kansas City. Featuring only Missouri-sourced grapes that are turned into exquisite dryer wines. They are very knowledgeable about each pour, they actually care about teaching their customers about their wine! One of the Owner's is usually nearby if you desire more details. Sit on the comfy couch or chairs near the bar or in the back room with a barrel view to enjoy your bottle.
